Practical momentum.
Fund the Shapers identified Global Shapers projects that needed funding or could expand their work with additional support. Working with the Humble King Foundation, the project connected five hubs with resources for community-led work.
The project presentation reports more than $13,000 in support, alongside a $10,000 commitment for hubs that applied for but did not receive an Innovation Grant.
FIVE HUBS / FIVE LOCAL RESPONSES
Funding followed
local priorities.
The Providence Hub helped connect partners to funding rather than prescribing one solution. Each participating hub used support for a need identified in its own community.
Quito, Ecuador
Funding covered transportation for four weekends of workshops.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Support included a hospitality school, two microloans for women entrepreneurs, and a culinary arts scholarship.
Monterrey, Mexico
A $2,400 zero-interest loan supported water-irrigation technology for agriculture in a low-income food desert and helped pilot a larger social-enterprise model.
Luanda, Angola
The collaboration supported technology workshops for young people.
