SHARED PURPOSE.

Arianne is a medical student at Brown University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Her engineering background shapes how she approaches medicine, from using data to understand disease to designing better ways to prevent illness before it becomes a crisis. Her current work focuses on infectious disease and preventive medicine, including research on predicting the progression of liver fibrosis caused by schistosomiasis. Her past work in computational biology and multi-omics examined drug-resistance mechanisms and the tumor microenvironment. Her broader interests include neurology, global health, international development, and making medical innovation more accessible to the communities it is meant to serve. As Curator, Arianne is focused on rebuilding the Providence Hub around practical, community-led projects across Rhode Island.

Through his work at a primary care practice, Aaron supports a value-based healthcare model focused on improving outcomes for underserved communities. He helps connect patients with essential healthcare and community resources while advancing health equity and access to reliable, patient-centered care. Aaron is also passionate about empowering young people across Rhode Island, particularly those in under-resourced communities, to become changemakers and leaders who drive meaningful, lasting change.

Akshay is a second-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. With a strong interest in the intersection of healthcare and innovation, he is passionate about advancing technologies that improve well-being and expand access for underserved populations. Before medical school, Akshay studied in Brown University’s Program in Liberal Medical Education, graduating with honors in 2024.

Paige is a medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University whose interdisciplinary background spans electrical engineering, global diplomacy, sports science, and community health. She serves as the peer-elected President of the Medical Student Government and contributes to initiatives in family medicine, oncology, palliative care, and student community-building. Before medical school, Paige was a Fulbright–Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Research Fellow in Innsbruck, Austria, studying team dynamics, injury prevention, and performance in professional soccer. She earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, where she competed as an NCAA Division I soccer student-athlete. Within the Providence Hub, Paige hopes to connect local partners, empower emerging leaders, and help build a collaborative platform for community-driven impact.
